We are running a little low on hand sanitizer, glue sticks, and band-aids. If you would like to donate some to our classroom, the kids and I would be appreciative!
Graded paper folders are coming home today. Please sign them and return them by Monday.
A reminder that Wednesday, March 1 is a half-day for students. Please send in a note if your child's transportation for that day will be changing.
Our book fair is going to be next Saturday, 3/4/17, from 12pm-4pm at Barnes and Noble in Short Pump. Please consider stopping by to shop. Your son or daughter should bring home a flyer today that has a voucher for you to use when you pay. You can also order online and a percentage of the net sales will be donated to our school.
A Peek at Our Week:
Math: Continue working on Angles and Triangles. A test will be given on Friday 3/3.
Reading: New wordly wise words are coming home today. Your student should complete lesson A and have it on Monday. Each group is reading a non-fiction article. Analysis and discussion should be complete by Wednesday.
Science: We will begin our Matter unit on Monday, March 6.
Social Studies: We are conitnuing our study of the Northeast region. Your child should have notes glued into his notebooks to help him or her study for the test on Thursday of next week (3/2). There will be a quiz on Monday and students will need to be able to locate the states on a map, name them and their capital.
