Next week is our field trip to the Math & Science Center. We will be eating lunch in the classroom when we return, so please send a NUT FREE lunch with your child to enjoy after we get back.
Picture Day is next Wednesday. Your child has brought home an order form. You can fill it out and send in the money on Wednesday, or order online here. Once on the website, our school's code is 108676 If you choose to order online, please send in the bottom portion of the order form with the online order number and your child's name filled out. If you can't find the order form, a note will do as well.
The Fall Festival is coming up soon! Your child brought home a bright orange sheet with more information, ticket, and wristband prices. If you would like to purchase wristbands or tickets, please fill out the form and send it back soon!
The 5th grade window for gifted referral this year is Oct 10th - Oct 28th. If you would like to refer your child for a possible gifted identification, please submit your request during the appropriate window, in writing to Paige Smith (email@example.com) or Karen Wright (firstname.lastname@example.org). This can be in the form of a hand written note, or an email, but referrals cannot be taken over the phone.

The county is hosting a few parent information sessions this fall from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Here's a peek at our upcoming week:
Math: We will have a test on exponents on Monday and then begin working with whole number computation.
Language Arts: We will spend the week discussing story elements (characters, elements of the plot, setting, point of view, etc.). We will begin unit 2 of wordly wise.
Social Studies: We will continue discussing Henrico County and focus on Henrico Geography and history. There is a quiz on Monday. Your child should be able to label a map of Henrico and the surrounding counties.
