Good luck to the Book Bowl Team tomorrow as they travel to take on the other schools in the county's competition! I know you all will rock it!
In math we are working with data. This week, we are creating and analyzing line graphs and stem and leaf plots. We will soon add in different measures of center and study mean, median, mode, and range.
In science, the students are excited to finally be on the hunt for their stranded families. So far, they have 3 days of researching clues to formulate where they think the family is located. There will one more day of clues and then they will be working to put together a presentation that will convince the G.E.T.U. unit to rescue their family.
In writing, we are working with the fairy tales on trial. Later this week, we should have enough evidence and witnesses to put Peter Rabbit on trial for criminal trespass and robbery. The students are excited about this and have been busy researching and writing questions for the lawyers to ask, witness statements, and opening and closing arguments.
Since last week was a short week and interims are scheduled to go home on Monday, Dec. 16, you will not be getting a grade report next Friday as normally scheduled. Instead look for the next report on Dec. 16.
Thank you for all the donations to Christmas Mother and for any cup orders that you may have taken for Mrs. Miller.
