In math we are exploring the concepts of geometry using a gingerbread house engineering project. Thank you to all the parents who sent in supplies so that we are able to do this!
In science, the students are presenting their SOS presentations and I am happy to say that all of the groups found their family's location! Great teamwork! There is a science study guide coming home today that covers all the information from the Ocean SOL. The Unit Test on Oceans will be on Thursday. Information covered in the SOS unit that is not included on the study guide may also appear on the test, therefore, the study guide should be used in conjunction with notes that have been taken throughout the class periods.
In writing, we are finishing up the Fairy Tales on Trial unit with Jack vs. the Giant Woman.
Mrs. Hand has asked that we send a reminder home for the students to dress appropriately for the weather. We have recess outside if it is not raining.
Mrs. Dornick has also mentioned she is out of baby wipes for her art class. I told her I would put a note on my blog in case anyone wanted to send some in to her.
I hope everyone has a relaxing and refreshing two weeks! See you in January!
