In math your children are working on creating a dream house. They are sketching out the house, finding the square footage, and the price to build. They will then do some research on homes in the area and price it out to sell to see how much of a profit that they can make. After they are finished, they will create real estate ads to showcase their hard work.
In social studies, there is a test on the Midwest tomorrow. The students must know the states and capitals, as well as the vocabulary from chapter 8.
In reading and writing, they were given a design challenge today. We are going to combine with Mrs. Bernheart's class and create an ethnic cookbook! So get out those favorite family recipes and send them our way! Next Monday, students will start typing them up to include in a cookbook that will be given to each student by the last day of school.
Please remember to have your students check lost and found. Any items not claimed by the end of school will be donated. You can check this link for a slide show of the items currently in lost and found.

If your child has not sent in their baby picture for the end of the year, please send it asap!
On Monday, the students will begin making their products for their Bean Marketplace Day. Your child has chosen a group and come up with a product that they want to sell. They will need to bring in supplies all next week so that they can work during the school day to create their product. Each student should have talked with their group and decided what they are going to bring in for the work days. They should not spend more than $10 on supplies for their product.
