Math: Monday, we will have the quadrilaterals test. Your child can finish their study island assignment if it was not finished in class to help them prepare. Many of them saw how tricky the wording could be today when they were working on the assignment. On Tuesday, we will begin finding perimeter, area, and volume of different shapes.
Reading: Reading non-fiction. We will finish up the non-fiction articles next week and then begin using a paired text. We should also be finishing up figurative language later this week. The students will create a comic strip as a culminating activity.
Language Arts: Wordly Wise packets are coming home today with the new words for Thursday's test. I am proud of how well the students seem to be doing with the Greek and Latin roots! We have been discussing how you can use your knowledge of them to help you figure out words that you don't know.
Science: Test is on Monday. There is a project due on Monday, April 4. Most of the project will need to be completed at home. The requirements and a sample finished product is in your child's google classroom. They should be able to access this at home using their [email protected] account and their password.
Social Studies-We will begin our discovery of the Midwest region on Tuesday.
