Meet the Expert night was a success! It was so great seeing everyone's boards all displayed together and to walk around and hear the experts talk about their projects. The students are still sharing the tri-fold boards in class and we will finish that part up sometime next week. Our schedule has been thrown off with testing. The good news is that there is only one more SOL test left! The Science SOL will be next Thursday, May 29.
Some important dates are coming up that you will want to mark on your calendars: More information will be coming home about Bean Marketplace soon. Your child was told about it today and the outline was shared with them. They were given an opportunity to form groups to decide what they wanted to make to sell during the market place. They will be given contracts to fill out later this week and will pay for their desk space in beans. Total cost out of pocket per child is not to exceed $10 per child in the group for supplies to create their items. The attire for fifth grade Crossover Ceremony is nice pants or dress shorts and a collared shirt for boys. No athletic shorts should be worn! Girls should wear a dress or skirt. Girls are not allowed to wear spaghetti straps without a jacket or high heels over an inch. All clothes must follow the HCPS dress code. Please check out Nlist, if you have not already done so to see if there are any supplies needed for the Fifth Grade Celebration that you can donate or to sign up to help run stations.
