Our field trip is coming up on Thursday. If you are going to be a chaperone, please be at the school by 9:30. We will be walking around outside all day, so please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather and in comfortable shoes. We are planning on eating at the observation deck in City Hall. Even though this is enclosed, it is open for air flow and can get pretty breezy.
In math we have begun working with stem and leaf plots, line graphs, and circle graphs. There will be a quiz on stem and leaf plots and line graphs only on Friday. The students have been rotating through groups and working on the various types of graphs today and will continue that tomorrow. A study guide will also come home tomorrow.
In science we are rocking and rolling with the Earth's layers and plates. There will be a test on this material next Tuesday. We will be moving on to the rock cycle after Thanksgiving Break.
I'm excited to announce that the students will be starting on their own webpage and blog very, very soon! Look for them to be up and running by Thanksgiving! They are super excited about these and I can't wait to see their creativity shine through as they publish some of their writing pieces.
