HVA Intent to Return & Satisfaction Survey
The Henrico Virtual Academy (HVA) is a program for the 2021-2022 school year. We are excited to begin our next step of officially becoming a HCPS K-12 virtual school beginning the school year 2022-2023. As we prepare for the 2022-2023 school year, we would like to gather information from you regarding your child’s experience with HVA and to see if you are interested in reapplying. Please complete this survey for each HVA student enrolled by January 2, 2022.

- COMPUTER HELP: As a reminder, please access this site for Henrico Family Device & Digital Resource Support. Also, click here for information on in-person technical support. YOU CAN TAKE YOUR COMPUTER TO THE NEAREST MIDDLE SCHOOL FOR SUPPORT ON THE DEVICE! It is critical that you take care of your device and keep all programs running smoothly for a seamless educational experience. Use this Google Form: For HotSpots for the internet or any other computer needs.
- LEXIA & DREAMBOX: Please make sure you are completing your Lexia AND Dreambox weekly! These activities will hold weight on your final grade. THIS IS REQUIRED BY THE HVA!!!!
- LATE WORK: Remember late work will be graded after it is turned in and NOT IMMEDIATELY as we are trying to keep up with current material. Make up work does take a back seat to this. Know we will get to it more quickly IF you send a schoology message. Please stay after if you have turned in a late assignment and it has not been graded, but you see new grades have been added to the gradebook (as we sometimes are not notified when submitted). Make sure you send us a schoology/clever message when you complete an assignment.
- Wellness Wednesday: We will continue to offer conference times where students can sign up to meet with the teacher as needed. Remember groups/activities will vary from week to week so being on-time and present is essential to student learning! This should allow for more help, clarification and one on one assistance as needed for students! Thank you for being Flexible with our Wellness Wednesday Schedule, we have had a lot of positive communication and feedback about this day and hope that it continues to help students!! Starting in the new year we will be starting a school wide CODING CLUB that will start on Wednesdays! 5th grade will be the pilot for this club so check out the Wellness Wednesday slides for more information if interested (this is optional and open to students who have no missing assignments). The Wellness Wednesday slideshow is located in the SCHOOLOGY HOMEROOM COURSE UNDER THE BUTTONS!
