We are well into SOL season and heading quickly towards the finish line! June will be here before we know it.
REMEMBER THIS TUESDAY NO SYNCHRONOUS CLASS STUDENTS WILL BE TAKING THE MATH SOL IN PERSON!
Please continue to check in on your child’s grades, any missing assignments they may have, and make sure your child is following all assignment directions and staying after school if they have any questions or need help! Encourage them to sign up with a teacher on Wednesdays in order to make sure they are catching up with any missing assignments. Please always feel free to reach out with any questions you might have on DOJO or email, schoology or CLEVER! WE HOLD HELP SESSIONS TO HELP YOUR CHILD!!! PLEASE HAVE THEM TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS!!!

- COMPUTER HELP: As a reminder, please access this site for Henrico Family Device & Digital Resource Support. Also, click here for information on in-person technical support. YOU CAN TAKE YOUR COMPUTER TO THE NEAREST MIDDLE SCHOOL FOR SUPPORT ON THE DEVICE MAKE SURE THIS IS DONE ON MONDAY BEFORE SOL TESTING ON WEDNESDAY!!! It is critical that you take care of your device and keep all programs running smoothly for a seamless educational experience. Use this Google Form for HotSpots for the internet or any other computer needs. PLEASE STATE TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN ABOUT OUR NEED FOR COMPUTER (NOT CHROMEBOOKS) FOR OUR SCHOOL NEXT YEAR!!! Put it in forms you fill out, suggestions, or just plug it verbally to anyone!
- LEXIA & DREAMBOX: Please make sure you are completing your Lexia AND Dreambox weekly! These activities will hold weight on your final grade. THIS IS REQUIRED BY THE HVA!!!! - School Wide Lexia & Dreambox Score Usage!!! WE WERE MOVING UP, LET’S STEP IT UP!! - We are being beaten by 1st & Kindergarteners!
As we prepare to get everything ready for our Crossover Ceremony, we are asking for parents to send in a picture of their child so that everyone will be represented in the class slideshow that will be used during the ceremony. We are asking for you to send in a picture of your child that you love that clearly shows their face. While this can be a full body picture, simply one of their torso and face will do. Please click on this form and upload it no later than Friday, May 27.

What are we learning next week with Mrs. Gosney?
Whole Group Reading/Writing- While we are prepping for the Math SOL, graded assignments will be temporarily discontinued in both reading and writing. Instead we are going to focus on reading for pleasure as we listen to our class read aloud. The students are into the stories. Ask them about them and see what they say.
Gosney Homeroom Math- This week in math we will take the Math SOL on Tuesday. After that, we will begin some end of the year math projects.
Please encourage your child to complete the required 5 lessons on DreamBox weekly. This is required by the HVA and is used as a grade. You can check out the weekly dreambox board here. Please continue to encourage your child to complete at least 1 lesson a day.
Harrington Homeroom Math- This week in math we will begin reviewing for the math SOL as well as continue learning about equivalent measures and time.

Small-Group Reading- WOW! You rocked out the SOLS!!!!
Social Studies- We will continue to sprinkle history in each week as we continue to focus on Science for the SOL!
Science- We are all done with 5th grade content and finishing 4th grade science this week! Please use SOL Pass as it is a great study resource. Please continue to make sure you study about 10 - 20 minutes a day on reviewing all the concepts from the school year. Message me for the username and password!
