We are finished with the Order of Operations unit in math. This week we are working on computation of whole numbers. We are working specifically on how to add, subtract, multiply 3 digit by 2 digit numbers, and how to divide single digit or two digit divisors into dividend with as many as 5 numbers. Before we began this unit, you child took a pretest on schoology so I could assess their knowledge of the subject before we began. If they knew the basics, they were given an alternative assignment to do. One big way that you can help at home is to have your child do multiplication and division flash cards. Fluency with the math facts will become more and more important as your child moves through math since many concepts build on one another. I am expecting to give a test on adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing on next Wednesday.
Tomorrow is picture day! If you would like to order pictures, you can send in the money with your child tomorrow.
