Students will complete a variety of activities that cover plot mountain, theme, summarizing, and characterization before we dive into our next unit on nonfiction text structures. We are on track to finish our class read aloud, Because of Mr. Terupt. A new independent work menu with this week’s assignments will be posted. The menu will be in this week’s folder that will be labeled, November 16-20th. I will explain everything on this menu in class and post it on Tuesday morning.
English- Students will revise and edit their rough drafts. They will be asked to submit their final copy by Friday, November 20th at 8pm (this is an extension). We will review possessives in our writing.
Social Studies- Our exploration of historical Henrico sites noted last week has been bumped to this week. Students will begin working on a flier for a historical site discussed in class. We will have a quiz on this material on Friday, November 20th. (this is a change)
